Oppo ColorOS 13 beta for Reno8 Pro 5G and F21 Pro now available
In the previous month, Oppo initiated the global rollout of ColorOS 13 for the Oppo Find X5 Pro and Find F5, with plans to extend this update to over 20 devices in the upcoming months. Recently, the company has unveiled the ColorOS 13 beta based on Android 13 for the Reno8 Pro 5G and F21 Pro.
ColorOS 13 introduces a range of new features such as the Aquamorphic design and a card-style layout. Notably, this version marks the debut of Oppo’s Dynamic Computing Engine, aimed at enhancing battery life, optimizing the user interface for smoother performance, and refining memory management.
Oppo asserts that the new operating system enhances the existing Always-on display feature and adds support for Canvas, Insight, and Bitmoji. Additionally, it incorporates a Spotify widget for convenient music playback control and track information viewing.
For users in India, the update allows accessing Swiggy and Zomato information without turning on the screen. The Auto Pixelate feature automatically recognizes and blurs profile pictures and names in chat screenshots.
To experience the ColorOS 13 beta, users can navigate to the ‘Settings’ app on their phones, access the ‘About device’ section, tap the top of the page, open the three-dot menu on the top right, and proceed to ‘Trial versions.’ Upon completing the application form, users can click ‘Apply now.’
Once the test version is available, users will receive a notification and can install ColorOS 13 via a software update.
As a brief overview of the Oppo Reno8 Pro 5G, it features a 6.7-inch 120Hz HDR10+ AMOLED display, powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset, offering up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device is equipped with a 4,500mAh battery supporting 80W fast charging.
On the other hand, the Oppo F21 Pro is a 4G phone featuring a 6.43-inch 90Hz AMOLED screen, powered by the Snapdragon 680 chipset, with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device is backed by a 4,500mAh battery supporting 33W fast charging.
